Join the sewing revolution and give yourself one of the most valuable skills anyone can have. Once you've got some confidence and know-how, you'll be surprised just how useful the art of sewing, mending and upcycling is in your everyday life.
In this friendly, supportive beginner sewing course, Eliza will use her 25 years of sewing experience to teach you the fundamentals of basic sewing and give you the confidence to continue sewing throughout your life.
This beginner sewing course goes beyond pushing you through for the sake of completing a project. You will begin with learning about safety and operation of a sewing machine and build up your skills throughout the course by practicing basic machine and hand sewing techniques. You'll have fun making 2-3 projects to take home and you'll also take away bags of confidence and a pocket-full of ambition for your next project.
Eliza will meet you where you’re at, not pushing you to the next stage simply to ‘keep up.’ The intention with this course is for you to finish with the confidence to call yourself a Sewer. Sewing is a lifelong skill so Eliza wants to build your self-confidence to continue exploring new sewing projects and improving your own skills through practice and just having a go at things.
